Upcoming events
College Board provides professional learning opportunities for secondary school administrators, teachers, and counselors worldwide. These events are open to current participants in our programs such as Advanced Placement® (AP), as well as those who may be exploring implementation. These learning opportunities can also benefit professionals who wish to enhance their school curriculum or university guidance services, develop or sustain an AP program, or use the SAT Suite of Assessments to inform instruction. Full descriptions of professional learning opportunities from College Board can be found under the Calendar of Events.

Event Types
AP Workshops are multiday training events in which various sessions are offered. Most sessions cover specific subject areas geared to current or aspiring AP teachers. Others are designed for administrators and AP coordinators. Some events feature sessions for counselors on college/university counseling.
AP Summer Institutes are one- to two-week immersive training events. They concentrate on a single subject area and are usually aimed at teachers, though administrators and AP coordinators are welcome to attend.
Summer Institutes for International Counselors are three- to five-day events for new and experienced international secondary school counselors. They do more than offer training. They bring counselors together with university admissions officers to share best practices.
AP Summits and AP Conferences are multidisciplinary AP teacher and administrator training events spanning multiple days.
AP Online Professional Development Options are free, online learning resources for both new and experienced teachers in several AP course and exam areas.
AP Mentoring is online, teacher-to-teacher support for AP teachers of all experience levels through two programs: A year-long option, offering 10 mentoring sessions, and a 4-session Spring Support option offering assistance in the months before the AP Exam administration. Current AP subjects with mentoring options are: AP Computer Science Principles, AP English Literature and Composition, and AP U.S. History.
