College Board provides Advanced Placement (AP) professional learning opportunities for secondary school administrators, teachers, and counselors worldwide. These events are open to current participants of the AP Program, as well as those who may want to learn more about what we do. On this page, you will find:

These learning opportunities can also benefit professionals who wish to enhance their school curriculum or develop and sustain an AP program at their school.
Online and In-Person AP Professional Learning Opportunities
AP Workshops and AP Summer Institutes are great opportunities for new and experienced AP teachers to explore the AP course and exam description for their subject, the AP Exam, and the AP Classroom resources that will help teachers plan and focus their instruction. Participants will get ready-to-use strategies and pedagogical tools shared by an experienced educator within the AP community.

Online and in-person AP workshops are available for private purchase by a school, district, school network, or ministry of education. To schedule a private AP workshop, please complete this AP PL Request Form.
AP Teacher Webinars will help you enrich your instructions in any learning environment.
AP Coordinator Professional Learning Opportunities will walk participants through how to manage their school’s AP program throughout the school year.
AP Community is an online space for AP teachers and coordinators to connect with colleagues, participate in lively discussions with experts, and share classroom-ready materials.
AP Mentoring is a great opportunity for teachers to have on-going support in a small group setting with experienced AP teachers. Your mentor group will be tailored to your needs and experience level.

Become an AP Reader
The annual AP Reading is a weeklong event in which more than 15,000 experienced AP teachers and university faculty come together to evaluate and score AP Exam free-response sections from students around the world. Besides having a chance to experience an intensive collegial exchange, you’ll receive professional support and training during the Reading event.
